Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to innovate and deliver AI/ML solutions as part of the ML team. You will develop, integrate, deliver, and support ML solutions in a self‑directed role with strong collaboration across teams.

You will architect scalable ML pipelines using AWS, participate in cross‑functional design reviews, and ensure production‑quality code while applying DevOps practices and data‑driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of software development experience and/or commensurate skills building commercial and ML applications.
• 1+ years’ experience with an object‑oriented programming language such as Java or Python, ML/AI frameworks, libraries, data structures and data modelling techniques.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture/design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Implement machine learning based solutions to address business challenges, adhering to INDG best practices with integration of AWS services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, propose technical solutions, and shape project architecture with cloud infrastructure considerations.
• Architect and implement scalable, high‑performance machine learning pipelines and infrastructure utilizing AWS and DevOps practices.
• Build enterprise applications at scale using expertise in computer science fundamentals.
• Use metrics to make data‑driven decisions.
• Diagnose and fix production issues.
• Write and maintain production‑quality code.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
