Job summary

AMD is seeking an ML/AI intern/co-op to join the team and work on next-generation features with ML/AI engineers. You will learn new technologies in ML/AI and participate in research and development on AMD’s products.

You will analyze algorithms to improve AI performance, gain real-world experience, and contribute to projects that impact millions of end-users worldwide. This role is for students enrolled in US universities and offers on-site or hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• This candidate is enrolled in a US-based university in a Master’s degree program in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or a related field.
• Knowledge in ML/AI, Python, C/C++, SQL/NoSQL, ML algorithms, and frameworks; familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Caffe; cloud experience preferred.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Learn innovative ML/AI technologies and high-performance compute concepts.
• Analyze and implement changes to algorithms to improve AI performance and user experience.
• Contribute to one or more projects such as source code analysis and image corruption detection.
• Support AI software teams with roadmap planning and collateral development.
