Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) seeks an ML/AI intern/co-op to join our team and work on next-generation product differentiation features. You will learn and apply techniques in ML, AI, and high-performance computing while contributing to projects affecting millions of users.

As part of the team, you’ll analyze algorithms, deploy ML-based CV solutions, and collaborate with hardware and software engineers. This role is intended for students in the US pursuing an undergraduate degree in CS/CE/Data

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university in an undergraduate degree program majoring in computer science, computer engineering, data science / analytics, or a related field.
• Knowledge/experience with ML, data science, computer vision, statistics, and mathematics is encouraged.
• Programming experience in Python and C/C++ is expected.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS, GCP, or Azure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Learn innovative ML/AI technologies and HPC concepts through hands-on projects.
• Analyze and implement algorithm changes to improve AI performance and user experience.
• Contribute to multiple projects involving ML techniques for source code analysis and image corruption detection.
• Research, develop, and deploy ML-based computer vision products on AMD platforms.
• Assist AI software teams with roadmap planning and collateral development.
