CHI Memorial Hospital is seeking a Market Director, Laboratory Services to lead strategy, financial oversight, and operations across the market's laboratories. You will collaborate with regional teams to align with national lab services and ensure high quality, cost-effective performance.

This role directs hospital lab operations 24/7, integrates testing across markets, and drives regulatory compliance while pursuing technology advances and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of people leadership.
• Medical Technologist license (TN) required at hire.
• Preferred MBA or related Master's degree.
• Preferred 7 years of laboratory management experience.
• Preferred history of overseeing multiple laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of Market hospital Lab Directors/Managers.
• Assist the region Director in planning and implementing system initiatives.
• Ensure integration of laboratory testing in the Market with system standards.
• Ensure policies and procedures comply with regulatory agencies.
• Ensure Market labs comply with contracts for supply and services.
• Represent Market/Region in work groups and national efforts.
• Oversee 24/7 day-to-day operations of the assigned hospital lab.
• Stay current on new technologies and methods in labs.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Market Director, Laboratory Services, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, financial oversight, operational management, and direction of all laboratory functions within the assigned market, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.Every day you will facilitate collaboration within the market and with other regional markets, leveraging support from the region director and national laboratory services to achieve and maintain performance standards. You will also serve as the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services for your assigned facility, overseeing 24-hour day-to-day operations. Your role includes directing, planning, organizing, and implementing strategies and initiatives to enhance and support clinical laboratories, ensuring high quality, efficient, and cost-effective operations.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership in laboratory management, a profound understanding of strategic planning and financial oversight, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence and ensure regulatory compliance within a complex healthcare laboratory environment.

• Direct management of Market hospital Lab Directors/Managers. Assists the region Director in the planning and implementation of System and region initiatives. Responsible for integration of laboratory testing in the Market and in accordance with system standards.
• Assures the implementation of policies and procedures for Market laboratories in concurrence with national policies and procedures and standards and according to regulatory agencies.
• Assures laboratories in the Market are in compliance with supply and purchased services contracts.
• Represents the Market’s or region’s best interests as a voting member for any work groups, councils or committees. Participates in other CSH national laboratory efforts as required.
• Direct management of the assigned hospital laboratory with responsibility for all laboratory operations.
• Remains knowledgeable on new technologies, methods and approaches within the laboratory community
