Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Stress Analyst to join our Lunar Permanence team, developing the next generation of Lunar cargo delivery vehicles. You will apply physics-based methods to predict static and dynamic structural loads and support verification against test data.

Responsibilities include FE model development in Femap/NASTRAN, simulation of launch, ascent, and landing events, and collaboration with design engineers to ensure safe, reliable hardware within cost and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in predicting/validating structural dynamics and loads.
  • Solid fundamentals in static/dynamic structural mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods.
  • Develop, refine, and correlate Finite Element Models to tests.
  • Model and simulate launch, in-space burns, and landing events.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
