Shift Schedule: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off 6:00 pm - 6:30 am.

Operators are system experts in their assigned areas and are highly functional across multiple areas. They ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality, and continuous improvement, functioning as a member of an area team directly responsible for efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. Operators operate and change over specified machinery, train, and perform tasks of other associates as needed. Strong communication, interpersonal, and team‑building skills are required.

Functions include performing changeovers, deep cleanings, maintaining supplies, completing paperwork, and performing cleaning/inspection/lubrication tasks while adhering to the Five Principles of Mars.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree or higher in an engineering or manufacturing-related discipline (preferred).
• Two or more years experience in a food-related manufacturing environment with automated processes, including PLC/HMI.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Experience in a TPM environment (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Frequent pushing, pulling, dumping, and rolling of barrels (25-105 kg).
• Frequent cleaning of extruders, cooling tunnels, and conveyor systems using scraping tools.
• Frequent lifting or carrying materials.
• Frequent standing.
• Frequent use of pallet jack or forklift.
• Frequent walking.
• Frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent stooping and bending.

• Operate all equipment in the assigned area while meeting quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers.
• Follow proper escalation protocol.
• Fill out all HACCP and military sheets correctly.
• Encourage and support a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing area in accordance with 5S.
• Perform cleanouts and changeovers according to work instructions and checklists.
• Actively participate in TPM teams.

Decision Making Authority, Recommendations & Impact

• Stop the process after a non-conformance is noticed while following escalation protocol.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities and make recommendations to the team lead.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is USD 22.50 – USD 30.93 in Illinois. The total compensation package includes variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in a 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Details of participation will be provided upon offer.
