Job summary

AMMEGA in Beacon, New York seeks a Mixing I - Compounder who will apply proficiency in compounding within the Mixing department. You will report to the Production Supervisor and be part of the Production Team.

The role involves following batch recipes, weighing and packaging ingredients, replenishing materials, and assisting in training. A strong team ethic, forklift certification, and a proactive approach to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic math skills and ability to work in a team.
• Prior forklift experience and forklift certification is required.
• Leadership acumen and a positive team spirit are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow batch and recipe instructions; select, weigh, and package items.
• Place ingredients into totes and move via cart to the hold area.
• Replenish materials in the mixing area as needed and report shortages.
• Assist in training and cross-training across mixing operations as directed.
• Report unsafe conditions and complete production forms per policy.

As a Mixing I operator, you will be responsible for proficiency in compounding within our Mixing department. You will report to the Production Supervisor and be part of the Production Team. This role is based in Beacon, New York.

A day in the life of a Mixing I - Compounder can look like

• Following the batch and recipe operator will select, weigh, and package (bag) items listed in recipes. Places packages of ingredients (for a given recipe) into a tote box or cart and places recipe card with it. Places tote or cart in specified hold area. Replenishes material supplies in compounding area from material storage area as necessary.
• Calls attention of supervisor or group leader when quantities of certain material seem to be approaching a minimum amount.
• Assist in employee training of operation and job responsibility. Must be willing and able to be cross-trained in all phases of mixing operation as directed by supervisor and perform these duties as required.
• Reports any unsafe conditions found in the plant.
• Fills out production forms in accordance with company policy and procedure
