Job summary

Knight's Companies in Okatie, SC is seeking a mixer truck driver to safely operate a concrete mixer and deliver to customers. This full-time role requires adherence to DOT regulations and company policies. You will inspect loads, verify delivery instructions, communicate with the plant, and maintain the truck.

The position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits. Applicants must have a CDL, clean MVR, English proficiency, and be able to read delivery tickets

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A or B is required.
• Valid REAL ID in state of residence required.
• Must be at least: 18 years in SC, 21 years in GA.
• Minimum of one (1) year of CDL driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Clean MVR: No DUI/DWI in past five years; no more than three moving violations in past three years.
• Basic math skills.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect loads to ensure proper mix consistency and quality (slump, texture, color, etc.).
• Verify delivery instructions and job site locations before departing the plant.
• Maintain communication with plant personnel and dispatch for delivery coordination.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service at all times.
• Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, logs, and inspection reports.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety standards.
• Support plant operations and assist team members when needed.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) required.
• Valid REAL ID in state of residence required.
• Must be at least:
  • 18 years of age for operations in South Carolina
  • 21 years of age for operations in Georgia
• Minimum of one (1) year of CDL driving experience required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), including:
  • No DUI/DWI violations within the past five (5) years.
  • No more than three (3) moving violations within the past three (3) years.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
