Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL seeks a hardworking salad room operator to support daily production in a fast-paced environment. You will operate equipment, prepare ingredients, follow recipes precisely, monitor temperatures, and assist with quality control documentation.

Strong safety habits and teamwork are essential for success in this role. Role requires lifting heavy items, flexibility for shifts, weekends and holidays, and a commitment to Publix standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must demonstrate excellent GMP and safety habits.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to push roll tubs weighing up to 650 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate all department equipment including mixers, pumps, lifts, hoists, bowl cutters, scales, cabbage spinners and cross fed belts.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment.
• Follow strict sanitation and GMP practices for safe food manufacturing.
• Gather, prep, and weigh fresh ingredients and follow recipes accurately.
• Monitor temperatures and gather samples for quality control.
• Maintain run sheets for cost accounting and track inventory of fresh ingredients.
• Document environmental concerns for QA and USDA; maintain accurate documentation on quality, production and sanitation.
• Provide timely communication to the salad room operator concerning production needs and other duties.

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
