Job summary

Ken’s Foods in Lebanon, IN is seeking a Processing Operator for 2nd shift (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Mon–Fri). You will operate process equipment, follow recipes, and help ensure product quality on the packaging lines.

Starting pay is $24.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential and weekly pay. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and be able to meet the physical requirements of a manufacturing role.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
Ability to follow process instructions and formulas and document accordingly.
Basic math and measurement skills (weight, volume, distance).
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate different types of process equipment with varying automation levels.
Follow process control instructions and complete paperwork.
Ensure product quality and correct use of raw materials.
Maintain GMP and sanitation practices; ensure cleanliness of facilities.
Coordinate with Production to transfer product to packaging lines.
Prepare raw materials for processing and assist in cleaning/inventory.
Optional: drive a forklift for material retrieval (license required).
Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

To prepare quality products in a timely manner for packaging lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

Working knowledge of operation of different types of process equipment with varying degrees of automation
Comprehend and follow processes control instructions and/or formula recipes and procedures (including completing paperwork)
Responsible for quality of products, ensuring that the correct amounts of good quality raw materials are used
Working knowledge of all sanitary practices as they pertain to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and equipment washouts
Ensures compliance with corporate standards and systems to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality and facility cleanliness
Coordinate with Production personnel to successfully transfer product to the packaging lines
Preparation of raw materials for processing
Assist in cleaning, maintaining and inventory of raw material storage areas
Fork truck driving for retrieval of raw materials (optional; license required)
Other duties as assigned

Food Safety Responsibilities

Producing product free of contamination
Following all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies
Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
Inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
