Butterball Farms, Inc. is seeking a Mixer to correctly set up and mix ingredients for production runs. The role involves manual as well as automated processes, operating a batch mixing system, and verifying quality per specifications.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in a food manufacturing setting, familiarity with HMI panels, and strong teamwork and communication skills. This on-site position offers a supportive culture with growth opportunities and shift premiums.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing production setting preferred.
• HMI Panel experience would be ideal.
• Proficiency with iPad and computer software.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high attention to detail while ensuring safety practices.
• Perform pre-weighting of ingredients using batch cards.
• Start up and run automated mixing system; interact with HMI panels.
• Conduct start-up/shut-down of equipment; monitor performance and perform changeovers.
• Ensure product meets quality standards per specifications.
• Log lot codes and slurry samples for QA testing.
• Weigh, mix and add ingredients to the batch; maintain proper weight range.

Are you a self-starter looking for a challenge? Do you have any prior mixing experience? If so, this might be the opportunity you are looking for! Butterball Farms, Inc. is currently hiring a Mixer who will be responsible for the proper ingredient setup and mixing of all ingredients for the production run.

As a Mixer, you will:

• Maintain high attention to detail while ensuring safety practices
• Using a batch card, perform the pre-weighting of ingredients
• Efficiently start up and run an automated mixing system by interacting with HMI panels
• Start-up and shut-down equipment, monitor performance of the machine, efficiently operate equipment, complete required documentation and be able to efficiently perform changeovers
• Ensure product meets quality standards according to product specification
• Ensure all equipment is operational- complete basic troubleshooting to resolve any machine-related issues
• Follow procedures on specification sheets to ensure the correct ingredients are being utilized per product run consistently
• Identify and obtain ingredients as needed
• Visually inspect ingredients for foreign objects
• Perform simple mathematical equations
• Properly weigh, mix and add ingredients to the batch
• Obtain and log lot codes for ingredients being used
• Obtain and log slurry samples for QA testing
• Ensure you are maintaining a proper weight range
• Operate the kettle, grinder, and whipper within specific parameters
• Use the HMI/Control Panel effectively and monitor the speed
• Monitor and maintain proper whip percentage
• Visually determine batch progress
• Maintain proper product temperatures and a proper consistency
• Maintain a full kettle at all times

Requirements

We believe a successful Mixer will have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience in a food manufacturing production setting preferred
• Previous HMI Panel experience would be ideal
• Proficiency in working with iPad and computer software
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage change effectively, and an eagerness to learn
• Ability to lift heavy weight frequently (Up to 50 pounds)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Teamwork and ability to work with others
• Detail-oriented: Excellent eye-hand coordination
