Job summary

Solenis in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Chemical Mixer to operate and maintain batch processing equipment, producing products per work orders and quality specs. You will read and interpret work orders, manage materials and inventories, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts while adhering to safety standards and environmental requirements.

High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior batch manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture products to standards at Solenis.
• Maintain assets and inventory in the area of responsibility.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the organization.
• Read, interpret and execute work orders.
• Produce batches based on work orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory paperwork.
• Set up and change over batches.
• Measure and weigh raw materials.
• Handle Hazardous Waste and Waste Streams.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; up to 400 lbs occasionally.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture various products according to standards at Solenis.
• Manage and maintain assets in area of responsibility including, but not limited to: Equipment and Controls, Operating Supplies, Inventory Control, Co-Workers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the organization.

Job Duties

• Clean, operate and maintain equipment in area including totes, pumps, mixing vessels, and raw material lines as needed.
• Read, interpret and execute specifications from work order.
• Manufacture batches based on work orders.
• Provide detailed paperwork flow to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Plan and perform batch set up and changeover processes.
• Pour and weigh raw material as needed.
• Handle Hazardous Waste and Control Waste Stream/Flow
• Keeps Work Area Clean and Free of Safety Hazards
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally move drums up to 400 lbs.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous experience in a batch manufacturing environment
• Basic Math Skills
• Ability to read and interpret work orders

The expected compensation range for this position is between $40,390.00 and $59,235.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
