Job summary

Texas Instruments in Dallas seeks a Mixed-Signal Design Verification Engineer to verify high-current power stages in multi-phase buck converters for HPC and datacenter applications. You will develop verification plans, build testbenches, and collaborate with analog designers and test teams to ensure robust, production-ready designs.

You will work closely with power-management and test groups to optimize verification coverage, drive automation, and contribute to ongoing methodology improvements

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
  • 3+ years of mixed-signal IC verification experience.
  • Strong understanding of verification methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard simulation tools.
  • Experience with scripting for automation (Python, SKILL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with switching converter operation and DC-DC topologies.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute verification plans for mixed-signal PMICs.
  • Create testbenches and verification environments for power stage circuits.
  • Verify digital-analog interface timing and functionality.
  • Validate load transient response, efficiency, stability, switching, and protection features.
  • Verify fault detection and protection (OC, UV, thermal shutdown).
  • Assess design robustness with parasitics at board and package levels.
  • Collaborate with analog designers to identify and fix issues early.
  • Work with test engineers to verify and debug test and trim sequences.
  • Define and track verification coverage metrics and improve methods.
