Job summary

Game 7 Staffing is seeking an Electrical Engineer for mixed-signal board design in Costa Mesa, CA. The role emphasizes on-site work with occasional remote only after multi-week bring-up cycles, supporting flight-critical electronics development.

You will own schematic and component selection in Altium, drive board stack-up decisions, perform bring-up in lab with scopes and logic analyzers, and collaborate across mechanical, firmware, and test teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years producing mixed-signal boards with schematic ownership.
• Proficient in Altium schematic capture.
• Hands-on board bring-up in production environments.
• Skilled with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and logic analyzers.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, UART, or RS-class buses.
• Strong power and PDN design understanding.
• Able to own full design-to-test loop on-site in Costa Mesa.
• Eligible for U.S. security clearance.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, direction-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and translate into board architecture.
• Own schematic design and component selection in Altium.
• Guide layout with stack-up, SI/PI constraints, and reviews.
• Lab bring-up and debugging with scope, DMM, and logic analyzer.
• Support board power design and PDN considerations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and test teams.
• Participate in peer reviews and document for manufacturability.
