Position Overview

In this role, you will collaborate with design engineering to complete the layout and verification of high-performance mixed-signal CMOS Integrated Circuits using Cadence Virtuoso XL and Mentor's Calibre tools. You will work with circuit engineers to generate topological layouts that ensure optimal circuit performance.

Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot layout design issues and apply proactive interventions.
2. Work closely with design engineers to ensure proper circuit performance.
3. Design analog mixed-signal layouts.
4. Understand device matching techniques.
5. Apply signal conditioning and protection techniques.
6. Collaborate effectively, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Plan and integrate layouts efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Associate's Degree in Electronic/IC layout CAD specialization or related field, with 10+ years of IC layout experience.
2. Ability to layout analog circuitry within size and time constraints.
3. Knowledge of layout techniques such as common centroid, matching, isolation, shielding, and dummy devices.
4. Problem-solving skills using technical expertise, intuition, and creativity.
5. Proficiency in floor planning, block assembly, and routing at the block level.
6. LVS troubleshooting and debugging skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
8. Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
2. Experience with multiple IC design CAD tools and foundry PDKs.
3. Ability to contribute ideas for efficiency improvements and automation.
