Position Overview

In this role, you will collaborate with design engineering to complete the layout and verification of high-performance mixed-signal CMOS Integrated Circuits using Cadence Virtuoso XL and Mentor's Calibre tools. You will work with circuit engineers to generate topological layouts to ensure optimal circuit performance.

Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot layout design issues and apply proactive interventions.
2. Collaborate closely with design engineers to ensure proper circuit performance.
3. Design analog mixed-signal layouts.
4. Understand device matching techniques.
5. Apply signal conditioning and protection techniques.
6. Demonstrate excellent collaboration skills, including written and verbal communication.
7. Plan and integrate layouts effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Associate's Degree in Electronic/IC layout CAD specialization or related field, with 10+ years of IC layout experience.
2. Ability to layout analog circuitry within size and time constraints.
3. Knowledge of layout techniques such as common centroid, matching, isolation, shielding, and use of dummy devices.
4. Problem-solving skills combining technical expertise, intuition, and creativity.
5. Proficiency in floor planning, block assembly, and block-level routing.
6. LVS troubleshooting and debugging skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
8. Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
2. Familiarity with multiple IC design CAD tools and foundry PDKs.
3. Ability to contribute ideas for improving efficiency and automation of layout tasks.
