Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for a 24-hour weekly schedule. The role covers two 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p) and every third weekend, with a sign-on bonus for experienced candidates.

The position supports a Critical Care Mixed Acuity Unit focused on critical care and telemetry training across a wide patient age range. The RN will implement the nursing process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold Kentucky nursing standards and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky License is required.
• BCLS must be completed within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS must be completed within six months for experienced staff nurses and within one year for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Registered Nurse implements the nursing process for assigned patients in accordance with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies.
• Collaborates with the inter-professional team to promote positive patient outcomes and ensure quality care.
• Utilizes the Nursing Process framework to provide holistic patient care and ongoing professional development.

Critical Care Mixed Acuity Unit Mixed Acuity Unit is both a critical care and telemetry unit specializing in medical critical care. Staff in this department will receive both critical care and telemetry training and will see the whole realm of nursing. Care ranges from young adult through geriatric patient population.

Job Summary Registered Nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient’s care consistent with the Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care and initiates change through active involvement in the unit-based and hospital shared governance councils while contributing to a healthy professional practice environment. National Professional Nursing Standards serve as guidelines for nurses as they utilize critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills and exercise appropriate nursing judgment. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes. The registered nurse serves as a role model through actively participating in the process of continuous professional development and lifelong learning. Utilizes the Nursing Process as the framework for providing care.
