Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine invites applications for a Research Scientist in the K Lab, led by Dr. Karthick Chella Krishnan. The lab studies mitochondrial biology, metabolism, genetics, and sex differences across liver, adipose tissue, heart, and hippocampus.

We seek a PhD holder who can design and perform independent experiments, analyze complex datasets, and contribute to publications and grants while mentoring students in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience with mitochondrial biology and metabolism.
• Experience with mouse models and cellular systems.
• Ability to design and perform independent research.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research under faculty supervision.
• Adapt experimental protocols to address project challenges.
• Analyze data and prepare figures and manuscripts.
• Mentor student researchers and maintain lab records.
