Job Overview
We are looking for a full‑time experienced Mitigation Technician to work in Burlington. The role involves physically mitigating losses and restoring affected properties to pre‑loss condition.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to emergencies such as water, fire, and smoke damage.
- Carry equipment and construction debris.
- Work in dirty environments with sewage and mold.
- Perform mitigation of rising liquid, secondary mold growth, and mold removal.
- Maintain company equipment and ensure chemicals are properly stocked.
- Inspect mitigation project sites and prepare contents for inspection by insureds and adjusters.
- Operate mitigation and drying equipment to full potential.
- Maintain company vehicles, including inspections, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Qualifications
- At least IICRC WRT certification required; IICRC training provided by ServiceMaster.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid Class G Ontario driver’s license with no restrictions; able to operate company-owned vehicles.
- Willingness to take an on‑call rotating schedule, work after hours and holidays, and travel to remote locations during catastrophes.
- Acceptance of criminal background check.
Physical Requirements
This position requires a high level of physical exertion and moderate sensory effort.
Working Conditions
Possible exposure to mold, asbestos, sewage, trauma, confined spaces.
Benefits
- Health and Dental after completion of 90‑day probationary period.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, with on‑call requirements.
- Overtime available.
- 40‑hour work week with rotating shifts Monday thru Sunday.
Compensation
Hourly rate of $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience.
