Job summary

RestoreCore is seeking a Mitigation Technician to support emergency response, mitigation, and restoration efforts for residential and commercial properties. You will assess damage, perform water extraction, drying, and debris cleanup to restore spaces efficiently and safely.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, adherence to IICRC standards, and on-call availability. You will document conditions, coordinate with clients, and maintain equipment while upholding OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in restoration.
  • IICRC certifications in water, fire, or mold are a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work on-call for emergency response.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the scope of damage.
  • Inspect and document property damage, including photos, notes, and diagrams.
  • Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification and hazardous clean-up according to IICRC standards.
  • Complete fire, smoke, and soot cleanup with precision and care.
  • Apply antimicrobial treatments and odor control measures as needed.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about the process and progress, providing professionalism and reassurance throughout the job.
  • Maintain accurate job records and update the Emergency Services Project Manager on job status.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, participating in ongoing safety and industry training.

Role

As a Mitigation Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties affected by fire, water, and other emergencies. Your responsibilities will include handling the mitigation and restoration process, making a significant impact on the lives of our clients during challenging times.
