Job summary

RestoreCore is seeking a Mitigation Technician to help restore properties after fires, floods and other emergencies. You will handle the mitigation and restoration process, playing a crucial role in the lives of clients during challenging times.

This role requires physical work, on-call availability, and strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; IICRC credentials are a plus and contribute to career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the restoration industry.
• IICRC certifications in water, fire, or mold are a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Willingness to work on-call for emergency response.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the scope of damage.
• Inspect and document property damage, including photos, notes, and diagrams.
• Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification and hazardous clean-up according to IICRC standards.
• Complete fire, smoke, and soot cleanup with precision and care.
• Apply antimicrobial treatments and odor control measures as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers about the process and progress, providing professionalism and reassurance throughout the job.
• Maintain accurate job records and update the Emergency Services Project Manager on job status.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, participating in ongoing safety and industry training.
