Job summary

SERVPRO Team Doyle in Allentown, PA is seeking a Restoration Technician to join a hands-on, team-focused environment. You will respond rapidly to water, fire, or mold events, perform restoration tasks, and help stabilize properties while delivering compassionate customer service.

Applicants should have handyman or restoration experience, a valid driver's license, and be open to on-call shifts. IICRC certification is a major plus and a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in handyman, construction, or restoration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Rapid disaster response to water, fire, and mold events to stabilize properties.
• Hands-on restoration tasks including water extraction and mold remediation.
• Operate and prep gear and company vehicles to be ready for response.
• Maintain clear, caring communication with homeowners and business owners throughout restoration.
• Support safety with supervisor and help keep job sites organized.

Location: Allentown, PA (and surrounding areas)

Position Type: Full‑Time

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 (Based on Experience) + $1,200 Sign‑on Bonus!

What You’ll Do

• Rapid Disaster Response: Respond promptly to water, fire, and mold emergency situations to help stabilize and secure properties.
• Hands‑on Restoration: Perform water extraction, mold remediation, light demolition, and set up specialized drying and air‑filtering equipment.
• Gear & Prep: Load, inventory, and maintain our state‑of‑the‑art work vehicles so you are always fully equipped and ready to save the day.
• Customer Care: Keep open, empathetic, and clear communication with homeowners and business owners, guiding them through the restoration process.
• Teamwork & Safety: Collaborate closely with your supervisor to identify safety hazards, manage job site needs, and maintain a safe workspace.

What We’re Looking For

• Have previous handyman, construction, or restoration experience (preferred, but not required!).
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Are willing to participate in a rotating on‑call schedule (evenings, weekends, and holidays) to help our community when they need us most.
• Love working with your hands, solving problems, and being on the move rather than sitting at a desk.
• Hold an IICRC certification (this is a major plus!).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds with assistance).
• Comfort working in tight spaces (like crawl spaces or attics) and climbing ladders/working at heights.
• Ability to repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects.
• Comfort working with and around industrial cleaning agents.
