Job summary

PANHANDLE CLEANING & RESTORATION, INC. is seeking a Remediation Technician to handle water damage cleanup, sewage backups, and related restoration work.

You will learn and operate drying equipment, coordinate with a Project Supervisor, and help preserve contents and structural items. This role requires safety awareness and the ability to lead junior laborers on site, with on-call weekend rotation and the potential for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Preferred industry certifications but not required; we will train if not certified.
• Experience in water mitigation, restoration, or demolition is a plus.
• Ability to direct laborers and document hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• The RT will respond daily to water mitigation clean-up jobs, sewage backups, floods, fire board-ups, and demolition tasks.
• The RT will receive training on water extraction and operating restoration equipment.
• The RT will learn how to set up and operate drying equipment.
• The RT reports to the Project Supervisor at the start of each shift for assignments and completes daily tasks.
• The RT preserves structural items and contents per supervisor instructions.
• The RT communicates equipment and material needs to complete assignments on schedule.
• The RT has the communication skills to direct laborers in restoration protocols.
• The RT maintains required personnel documentation, hours, and work performed each shift.
• The RT participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend assignments.

Education and Certification:

Remediation Technician - Key Responsibilities:

• The RT will respond daily to water mitigation clean-up job, sewage back-ups, flooding, fire board-ups, and demolition jobs.
• The RT will be trained on water extraction and operation of equipment.
• The RT will learn how to set up and operate drying equipment.
• The RT is responsible for reporting to the Project Supervisor at the start of each shift for job assignments and completing assigned tasks daily.
• The RT completes the process of preserving structural items and contents according to the Project Supervisor's instructions.
• The RT informs the Project Supervisor of the equipment and materials needed to complete the assignment properly and on schedule.
• The RT possesses the communication skills and experience to direct laborers in the restoration protocols.
• The RT is responsible for personnel documentation, hours, and work performed on a given shift.
• The RT practices on-the-job safety and encourages safety amongst the labor force.
• The RT will be included on an on call schedule and rotation for after hours and weekend assignments.
