Job summary

PANHANDLE CLEANING & RESTORATION, INC. is seeking a Remediation Technician to respond to water and fire damage, perform cleanup, and operate drying equipment. You will coordinate with the Project Supervisor, manage tasks, and help preserve contents according to restoration protocols.

The role emphasizes on-the-job safety, reporting duties, and the ability to guide laborers during remediation projects, with on-call weekends and after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred Industry Certification but not necessary: IICRC certifications (WRT, FRT, MRT, CSDR/CSDS) are a plus.
• We will train and certify if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily water mitigation, sewage backups, flooding, and fire board-ups.
• Train on water extraction and operation of equipment.
• Set up and operate drying equipment.
• Report to the Project Supervisor at start of shift and complete tasks daily.
• Preserve structural items and contents as instructed by the Project Supervisor.
• Inform supervisor of equipment and material needs to complete assignments on schedule.
• Direct laborers in restoration protocols with clear communication.
• Maintain personnel documentation (hours and work performed).
• Adhere to on-the-job safety and promote safety among the team.
• Be included on an on-call schedule for after-hours and weekends.

Education and Certification

Preferred Industry Certification but not necessary: IICRC Certified Water Restoration Technician, IICRC Fire Restoration Technician, and IICRC Certified Mold Remediation Technician, Council Certified Structural Drying Remediator/Supervisor (CSDR/CSDS). These are a plus if not certified we will train and certify.

Remediation Technician – Key Responsibilities

• The RT will respond daily to water mitigation clean-up job, sewage back-ups, flooding, fire board-ups, and demolition jobs.
• The RT will be trained on water extraction and operation of equipment.
• The RT will learn how to set up and operate drying equipment.
• The RT is responsible for reporting to the Project Supervisor at the start of each shift for job assignments and completing assigned tasks daily.
• The RT completes the process of preserving structural items and contents according to the Project Supervisor’s instructions.
• The RT informs the Project Supervisor of the equipment and materials needed to complete the assignment properly and on schedule.
• The RT possesses the communication skills and experience to direct laborers in the restoration protocols.
• The RT is responsible for personnel documentation, hours, and work performed on a given shift.
• The RT practices on-the-job safety and encourages safety amongst the labor force.
• The RT will be included on an on call schedule and rotation for after hours and weekend assignments.
