Job summary

ServPro NE is seeking a Mitigation Project Manager to oversee emergency restoration projects from initial contact through completion. You will supervise mitigation technicians, coordinate resources, prepare estimates, and ensure safe, efficient, profitable project execution.

Lead by example, deliver exceptional customer service, maintain documentation, and uphold SERVPRO standards while driving quality and profitability across local restoration jobs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, college education preferred.
• Restoration industry experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or project management experience preferred.
• IICRC certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, subject to applicable law.

Mitigation Project Manager

Position Summary

As a Mitigation Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing emergency restoration projects from the initial customer contact through project completion. You will oversee mitigation technicians, coordinate resources, communicate with customers and insurance representatives, prepare estimates, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

You are expected to lead by example, provide exceptional customer service, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold SERVPRO® production standards while driving quality, efficiency, and profitability.

Essential Responsibilities

Project Management

• Manage mitigation projects from first notice of loss through completion.
• Perform inspections, assess damage, and develop the appropriate scope of work.
  
• Develop drying plans and mitigation strategies based on IICRC standards.
• Schedule crews, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed.
• Ensure all jobs meet SERVPRO® quality standards and customer expectations.

Leadership

• Lead and supervise mitigation technicians.
• Provide training, coaching, and daily direction to production crews.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure crews follow company safety policies and SERVPRO® procedures.

Customer & Insurance Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project.
• Maintain professional communication with homeowners, commercial clients, adjusters, property managers, and vendors.
• Set clear expectations and provide regular project updates.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Documentation & Administration

• Maintain complete and accurate job documentation, including moisture readings, photos, drying logs, and daily notes.
• Review job files for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all required documentation supports invoicing and insurance requirements.
• Monitor job profitability and production efficiencies.

Business Development

• Build and maintain relationships with insurance professionals, property managers, plumbers, contractors, and other referral partners.
• Represent the company professionally in the community.
• Support business development efforts when opportunities arise.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

• Work in crawl spaces, attics, and other confined spaces.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
• Work around cleaning agents, demolition materials, and restoration equipment.
• Travel locally and occasionally out of state as business needs require.
