Job summary

Penco Restoration is seeking a Mitigation Lead Technician to manage on-site mitigation projects in Sharpsburg, GA. You will supervise field crews, coordinate drying efforts, perform demolition and cleanup, and document progress with photos and notes.

Qualifications

• Experience in property damage mitigation and restoration, with on-site crew leadership.

Role Description

The Mitigation Lead Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Sharpsburg, GA. This role is responsible for leading mitigation projects, including assessing damage from water, fire, mold, and storms, and coordinating the appropriate restoration activities. Day-to-day tasks include supervising field crews, setting up and monitoring drying equipment, performing demolition and cleanup, documenting job progress with photos and notes, and ensuring work complies with industry standards and safety guidelines. The Mitigation Lead Technician communicates with customers, insurance representatives, and internal team members to provide updates, clarify scopes of work, and support accurate project documentation. This role also includes training team members, maintaining tools and vehicles, and responding to after-hours or emergency calls when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in property damage mitigation and restoration (e.g., water, fire, mold, and storm damage), with the ability to lead on-site crews and manage multiple projects.
• Strong skills in job documentation, including taking clear photos, writing detailed notes, and using mobile or computer-based project management systems.
• Knowledge of construction and demolition practices, basic building materials, and safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to OSHA or industry safety standards.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with property owners, teammates, and insurance professionals in a professional and respectful manner.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or damaged spaces.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation to and from the Sharpsburg, GA worksite.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response and to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• Preferred qualifications: IICRC certifications (such as WRT, ASD, or FSRT), prior leadership experience in restoration, and familiarity with insurance-related restoration processes.
