Position Description

Department: Loading

Reports to: Lead Person

Interacts With: Other Employees (In their department and outside of the department)

Technical Skills

• Rigs loads correctly for lifting
• Operates overhead crane smoothly and efficiently
• Able to climb up on loads & trailers
• Understands the basic concepts of making safe loads & pallets
• Obtains weight information on a piece before lifting it
• Uses proper chains, straps to pick the pc/pcs properly
• Maintains an acceptable production level for skill level

Quality and Safety Skills

• Follows all safety requirements
• Uses required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Lifts, moves & sets loads without damaging the loads or other items
• Follows all safety regulations when climbing on a load or trailer
• Smaller parts are adequately secured on trailers

• Receives instructions & direction well
• Maintains a consistent, positive work ethic and attitude
