Job summary

Green Acres Baptist Church is seeking a Missions Pastor to serve on the Executive Team and lead all mission efforts locally, nationally, and globally. This role will align with the church's missional vision and oversee future campus launches as part of our growth strategy.

The pastor will supervise mission staff and volunteers, develop a comprehensive strategy, manage budgets, and collaborate across ministries to mobilize the congregation for Christ's mission worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least five years’ related missions and/or ministry experience required.
• Experience in churches with 1000+ attendees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all components of Green Acres Missions Ministry.
• Develop and coordinate a comprehensive Missions Strategy.
• Coordinate mission efforts from Preschool to Senior Adults on both campuses.
• Research and recommend mission projects and training for church members.
• Collaborate with pastors and leaders to enlist, train, and support Connect Groups in missions.
• Work with senior leadership on budget goals for mission development and advancement.
• Oversee the multi-site strategy of Green Acres and related ministries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

Job Summary

The Missions Pastor is a member of the Executive Team who is responsible for all Mission Efforts of Green Acres. The Missions Pastor is responsible for local, national, and global efforts that will uphold the vision of Green Acres. The Missions Pastor will also oversee future campus launches as part of our missional strategy to fulfill the vision of Green Acres.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• To enlist, train, and disciple leaders as effective volunteers in the Missions’ ministry. This includes oversight of the selection, training, and evaluation of Group mission liaisons and leaders.
• To supervise and evaluate the Missions Ministry staff, ensuring the coordination and cooperation of all small groups being sent out on mission.
• Develop an atmosphere of prayer and spiritual motivation for all missions’ team members and groups which will deepen the growth of the church and strengthen the spiritual walk of each believer and their families.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of all organizational components of Green Acres Missions Ministry.
• To provide leadership in the development of a comprehensive Missions Strategy which will advance vision and mission of Green Acres.
• To administrate and coordinate the church’s Mission Strategy from Preschool to Senior Adults on both campuses. This includes local, national, and global mission efforts.
• To research and recommend the mission projects and training for church members.
• To work cooperatively with the Adult Discipleship Pastor in enlisting, training, sending and supporting Connect Groups and members in local, national, global missions – reaching our neighbors and the nations for Christ.
• Work with the Lead Pastor and Stewardship Director in recommending and managing the budget goals for mission development and advancement. This includes the stewardship development of Green Acres members in financial supporting the church and its mission.
• In cooperation with the senior pastor and the executive team ensures oversight for the multi-site strategy of Green Acres.
• Oversee the recreation ministry of Green Acres as part of the local mission strategy of the church.
• Other pastoral ministries as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

Education And Experience

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• At least five years’ related missions and/or ministry experience required.
• Served in churches 1000+

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
