Job summary

SES Satellites in Betzdorf, LU and McLean, US, leads a Senior Architect role for Mission Test & Pathfinder Integration within the meoSphere program. You will direct system integration, test execution, and evidence-based decision making across spacecraft, ground systems, networks, and suppliers.

You will define campaign plans, readiness criteria, and test strategies, guiding rehearsals, readiness reviews, and anomaly resolution while coordinating with flight authorities and program stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in test engineering, system integration, verification and validation, mission operations, flight testing, or other complex system test environments.
• Proven technical leadership, including planning and executing complex test campaigns and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of requirements management, system interfaces, configuration control, readiness reviews, anomaly resolution, technical risk management, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Excellent technical writing, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills.
• Experience in space systems, satellite communications, ground systems, mission operations, telecommunications, or other mission-critical engineering programs.
• Familiarity with systems engineering practices, test automation, hardware-in-the-loop environments, simulators, digital twins, and test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration, testing, verification, and validation across hardware, software, networks, operations, laboratories, suppliers, and distributed teams.
• Turn inputs into clear technical plans with assumptions, dependencies, risks, and evidence.
• Apply discipline across requirements, interfaces, configuration control, readiness, anomalies, and evidence.
• Produce clear, decision-ready technical recommendations for stakeholders.
• Define and lead SI&T work respecting authorities in product, facility, safety, flight, and procurement.
