Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Mission Software Engineer for the Mission Systems group to advance autonomous software across the AD&S fleet. You will own high-performance, low-latency systems connecting vehicles to command and control, integrating with Lattice OS across hardware and systems teams.

The role emphasizes distributed software, real-time messaging, and payload orchestration, with travel up to 30% and a path to a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• 2–3+ years of production-grade C++, Rust or equivalent experience in a Linux development environment.
• Experience building low-latency, high-performance software solutions.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with Git & GitHub.
• Experience taking software from initial development through fielded deployment with cross-team collaboration.
• Travel up to 30% of time to deploy capabilities in real-world environments.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Track record of high ownership and bias for action.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency mission software.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and program management teams to deploy in the field.
• Build services that connect vehicles to command and control within Lattice OS.
• Support end-to-end from cradle-to-grave development to live operations.
