Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Systems Lead to helm the Omen team in Costa Mesa, guiding development from concept to field-ready systems. You’ll own perception, autonomy, and payload integration, coordinating with program leadership and external vendors to meet customer-driven requirements.

You will build and lead a multi-disciplinary team, set objectives, and accelerate tasks while ensuring robust design, testing, and traceability in a fast-paced, high-ownership culture.

Qualifications

• Senior or staff robotics or software engineer experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams in high-performance environments.
• Background in distributed software platforms and dynamic networks.
• Proficient in Python and modern languages (C++, Rust).

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the Mission Systems development lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Define the technical roadmap for Omen Mission Systems across horizons.
• Hire, mentor, and align cross-disciplinary engineers and practices.
• Own autonomous software stack supporting mission design, planning, and debrief.
• Oversee payload, perception, and autonomy integrations with vehicle systems.
• Travel up to 25% for tests, vendor collaboration, and field engagements.
