Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) seeks an experienced Mission Program Manager to guide end-to-end NASA and civil space missions from concept through operation. You will coordinate with NASA offices, universities, and industry partners to shape mission architectures and proposals while maintaining disciplined execution across lifecycle stages.

The role emphasizes program leadership, risk management, and customer engagement within SDL's Civil & Commercial Space Division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of aerospace experience with at least 5 years leading complex spaceflight programs.
• Experience managing development of integrated space systems.
• Demonstrated EVMS experience and program cost/schedule/risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NASA and civil space missions from formulation through execution.
• Serve as mission-level authority for technical, cost, schedule, and programmatic success.
• Develop executable mission strategies balancing objectives, performance, affordability, and schedule.
• Coordinate with scientists, engineers, and partners across organizations to ensure mission success.
• Mentor project managers and develop future mission leaders.
