Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Mission Operator to work closely with mission operations, hardware, and software engineers. The role involves writing and executing procedures to safely fly spacecraft on orbit, with a strong emphasis on learning how satellites are built, tested, and operated.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of professional experience, be process-driven, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to create, test, and execute satellite operations procedures for launch, early operations, orbit raising, and sustainment.
• Monitor system health and report anomalies, working with engineering to resolve them safely.
• Participate in training exercises to enhance the training program for operators.
• Support 24/7 spacecraft operations with regular evening, overnight shifts and weekend work.
