Job summary

Forterra Inc. is seeking a Mission Operations Lead in Clarksburg, Maryland. In this critical role, you will oversee customer engagements and ensure the deployment of innovative autonomy solutions for key clients, including the U.S. Department of Defense. Your responsibilities will include developing partnerships, managing program execution, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve mission success.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience within the Defense Tech industry, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for technology. The company offers a competitive salary range of $125,000.00—$175,000.00 along with premium healthcare, generous PTO, and significant educational benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in Defense Tech industry or Commercial Logistics.
• Strong communication skills to engage with partners.
• Enthusiastic about emerging technologies.
• Willingness to travel for 50% of the time.
• Must clear US DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create partnerships to support deployment of autonomy solutions.
• Scope and implement engagement integrations and pilots.
• Expand successful pilots into larger projects.
• Identify clients needing our technology.
• Help partners navigate organizational pathways.

Skills

Strong interest / experience working within the Department of Defense

Strong interpersonal skills

Comfortable setting and achieving goals in an amorphous environment

Broad knowledge of technology

Ability to travel at least 50% of the time

Eligibility to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance

Education

Engineering or Technical Degree or equivalent experience
