Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Mission Manager based in North America to lead end-to-end mission activities from contract signing through payload integration to launch. The role requires coordinating with customers (commercial and government) and traveling as needed to launch sites and customer sites.

The candidate should have 5+ years in mission management or technical program management, plus active DoD Secret Clearance and hands-on hardware integration or project management experience on launch

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace) required.
• 5+ years in mission management or technical program management.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Hardware integration or PM experience on launch vehicles or spacecraft.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Rocket Lab missions across technical, programmatic, and financial milestones.
• Oversee payload integration and interface control tasks.
• Lead mission design reviews and readiness reviews with customers.
• Support business development with input on proposals and technical reviews.
• Develop and verify ICD between launch vehicle and payload spacecraft.
• Maintain regular contact with customers and represent Rocket Lab at events.
