Job summary

Vannevar is seeking a Mission Lead to steer economic security deployments for the U.S. government, foreign partners, and the commercial sector.

You will identify where our software can address mission problems, build hypotheses, and convert them into field-ready deployments with measurable value. You will work with product, engineering, and forward-deployed engineers to translate field insights into requirements, lead high-stakes demonstrations for executives, and expand user communities while

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning outcomes in complex, ambiguous government, defense, or intelligence community environments.
• Prior national security experience relevant strategic and economic competition.
• Deep curiosity and interest in working with leading-edge software; willingness to explore new tech.
• Conceptual thinking: synthesize data about the mission, customer needs, and tech capabilities.
• Strong product-market-fit instincts: connect mission problems to software workflows.
• Ability to work with high autonomy in still-forming organizations.
• Technical fluency to credibly partner with Product and Engineering.
• Sound judgment on when to move fast or socialize a new thesis internally.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of economic security deployments across the U.S. government, foreign partners, and commercial sector.
• Develop hypotheses about mission problems and convert these into deployments.
• Build and defend a product-market-fit thesis for each account.
• Develop and deliver technical narratives with senior stakeholders.
• Sustain and expand fielded user groups and expand across adjacent mission groups.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and forward-deployed engineers.
• Exercise sound judgment in ambiguous, still-forming environments.
• Navigate programmatic and contracting realities and work with contracting officers.
