Job summary

CHENEGA BASE & LOGISTICS SERVICES, LLC (Joint Base Eagle River, AK) seeks a Mission Equipment Manager to oversee the R14 inspection program in support of the 212 RQS Guardian Angel contract.

The role includes conducting inspections, managing UTC and mission equipment for deployments, and coordinating with Wing, MAJCOM, NGB, and civilian agencies to ensure readiness and compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of facilities management experience preferably on a military installation.
  • Experience maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records.

Summary

The Mission Equipment Manager shall be responsible for managing the R14 inspection program in support of the 212 RQS Guardian Angel Support Services contract.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct monthly, semi-annual, and annual R14 inspections for the 276 PJ account.
  • Provide unit CC with R14 ready for and IAW Air Force guidance for the 276 PJ account and act as alternate for all mission support sections R14, R15, and commander visibility list
  • Shall be responsible for assuming liability for any item reported present that is missing.
  • Provide the management of all personnel admin functions
  • Shall initiate required documents for missing equipment and follow Air Force, Operations Group, and Squadron guidance and procedures
  • Design effective communication plans via powerpoint, excel, word, and other government communication tools to formalize and publicize UTC, mission equipment requirements, accountability, policies, and procedures for 11 AF alert, OCO deployments, DOMOPs, and OPLANS
  • Serve as UTC and mission equipment representative and act as coordinating liaison between military and civilian entities to meet UTC and mission equipment requirements
  • Provide accurate and factual information to the CC/directors, key staff, and customers
  • Establish controls and suspense dates and follow up to ensure that required actions and responses are made within deadlines
  • Establish, maintain, control, and update filing systems and accurately enable quick and efficient retrieval of information
  • Prepare and submit paperwork, such as timesheets, travel orders, file plans, and supply procurement admin in a timely manner as coordinated with the mission support NCOIC or mission support superintendent
  • Prepare, process, and reconstitute UTC and mission equipment for all deployments, contingency operations, domestic operations, and civilian search and rescue missions
  • Make recommendations to the mission support logistics team to procure mission equipment specified by the unit CC, unit equipment listings, and UTC guidelines
  • Act as alternate on all 212th RQS R14, R15/organizational visibility list
  • Prepare and submit a list of requirements for purchase to squadron leadership in support of 11 AF alert and mobility requirements
  • Complete HAZDEC training
  • Be assistant building facility manager
  • Provide or assist in QA/QC of all UTC and mission equipment
  • Assist in loading and unloading of UTC and mission equipment from cargo aircraft.
  • Manage UTC and mission equipment facilities
  • Coordinate UTC and mission equipment requirements with Wing, Group, MAJCOM, NGB, civilian, and other government agencies
  • Act as subject matter expert and facilitator during all phases of tasked deployments and search and rescue mission equipment preparation and equipment recovery
  • Assist squadron UDM as subject matter expert for deployment equipment preparation
  • Complete approved forklift certification
  • Complete mission support MQT items to support operations as required to include: flying duties, drop zone controller, vehicle, jet ski, ORV, UTV, snow machines, etc.
  • Complete government and flight line driver’s license certification
  • Complete initial equipment custodian training and annual refresher requirements
  • Manage master UTC listing and train operations and support personnel per the MEFPAK
  • Manage credit card for travel and other shop specific required purchases.
  • Complete required Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) items.
  • Maintain, track, and inventory wing boats, zodiacs, and CRRC.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to maintain a secret security clearance and complete restricted area badge requirements as required
  • Ability to use and prepare documents IAW regulations and policies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
  • Ability to obtain license and operate unit GOVs in accordance with AFI 24-301.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
