Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled administrator to lead a Canton, SD location. The role covers overall leadership, meeting goals, regulatory compliance, and coordinating operations to ensure high-quality care and financial stability.

Strong communication with residents, families and staff is essential. The position requires a Bachelor's in healthcare administration (preferred) and licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator, with applicable state licenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration is strongly preferred.
• Location will determine experience required.
• Ability to be licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of practice is required.
• Other licenses as appropriate by state requirements and facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the location to meet established goals, regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Direct and coordinate clinical and administrative operations to ensure financial stability and quality of care.
• Oversee infection prevention, safety culture and QAPI program; ensure HIPAA compliance and resident rights protection.
• Communicate effectively with families, staff and the broader medical community; ensure timely reporting and documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration
