Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for a mission-driven nonprofit in Providence, RI. The role supports month-end and year-end close, grants administration, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple entities and funding sources.

You will collaborate with Finance and program leadership to ensure accurate budgeting, reporting, and process improvements, while managing a complex multi-entity structure and diverse revenue streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong GAAP and FASB knowledge in nonprofit context.
• Experience with automated ERP systems.
• Excel expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Maintain grant accounting and administration.
• Prepare SEFA schedules.
• Assist with annual Form 990 filings.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Maintain organized grant and contract files.
