Job summary

Whitsons School Nutrition is seeking a General Manager to lead our school dining program in Claremont. You will manage daily operations, oversee menus, ensure compliance with NSLP and SBP, and develop a high‑performing team committed to student health and learning.

This exempt, full-time role requires 5–7 years in food service leadership, K‑12 experience preferred, ServSafe certification, budgeting and P&L oversight, and a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus relevant school/nutrition experience.
• Certifications in ServSafe and health regulations are required or obtainable.
• Experience with P&L and budgeting in a multi-site operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the food service team to deliver nutritious meals to students and staff.
• Oversee daily operations, scheduling, inventory, compliance and food safety.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student health and learning outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with NSLP, SBP and applicable regulations; manage budgets and vendor relations.
