Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Rockford, IL. This role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, supervises staff, and drives sales and store maintenance to ensure efficiency and a welcoming shopping environment.

In this full-time position, you will oversee banking processes, records, and customer relations while coordinating training and coaching from store leadership to foster a service-oriented team culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years retail experience is required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including POS systems.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Support staff training and supervision.
• Assist with production and sales goals.
