Job summary

The Mission Investment Fund (MIF), a financial ministry of the ELCA, seeks a Sales and Business Relationship Manager based in Chicago. You will foster trust-based connections with regional ministry leaders to drive loans and investments, aligning financial solutions with ministry goals.

This full-time, exempt role focuses on regional portfolio development, high-touch relationships, and representing MIF in networks to support mission growth.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in sales, relationship management, ministry financial services, or commercial lending.
• Solid understanding of ministry financial needs, lending processes, and investment offerings.
• Experience representing an organization at regional or community events.
• Ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with pastors, congregation boards, and ministry leaders.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and consultative selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess ministry financial needs and align them with loans, investments, and other financial solutions.
• Build and manage regional portfolios with identified high-potential opportunities.
• Advance mission-aligned growth initiatives through portfolio oversight.
• Steward and cultivate long-term investor engagement and loyalty.
• Serve as the primary representative in regional ministry networks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
