Job summary

Salt & Light Ministries in Urbana, IL invites applications for the Receiving & Processing Assistant Manager role. You will help supervise the Receiving & Processing team, coordinate donations, and ensure efficient warehouse flow in a faith-driven nonprofit.

Ideal candidates will have experience in donation/warehouse environments, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in donation and warehouse management.
• Read and write English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with the organization’s POS system.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all operations of receiving and processing, supervising team members.
• Ensure staffing and supplies for all workstations.
• Provide coaching to volunteers and staff on relationships and customer service.
• Oversee donation drop-off, data collection, and reporting to RPM.
• Direct flow of donations through processing stations and price high-value items.
• Manage salvage data collection and reporting to RPM.
• Maintain clean, organized processing/warehouse areas.
