Students For Life Of America Inc is seeking a mission-driven Marketing Content Writer to join our Marketing Writing Team. You will own content from draft to publication, collaborating with Programs, Development, Marketing, and Policy to ensure on-brand messaging.

Based in Fredericksburg, VA, this full-time role requires 40 hours weekly, strong editing, WordPress, and AI-assisted writing with Copilot. You will sign off on final drafts and maintain consistency with our Lexicon and brand voice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional writing experience, preferably in nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations.
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to grammar and tone.
• Knowledge of grammar rules, including the Oxford comma.
• Experience in marketing, communications, or legislative affairs a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Asana (project management).
• Experience with and willingness to learn/apply AI tools in the writing process.
• Experience with WordPress for content updates and site maintenance.
• Ability to rapidly produce content and respond to edits and changes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Passion for the pro-life mission and alignment with Students for Life values.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit content tailored to a specific department or initiative (e.g., Programs, Development, Marketing, Policy).
• Collaborate closely with assigned teams to understand messaging goals, campaign timelines, and audience needs.
• Attend relevant team meetings to stay informed and align with priorities.
• Update and maintain website content, including copy and pages in WordPress.
• Editorial ownership and sign-off on final drafts for publication or distribution.
• Ensure content aligns with Lexicon, Style Guide, and brand voice; incorporate feedback from executives.
