Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Manufactured Home Construction Worker to join the U.S. Rebuild team in Western North Carolina. The role involves constructing and repairing homes with supervision, leading volunteers, and ensuring safety standards on the site.

Candidates should have a college/technical certificate and are encouraged to have trade certifications and a CDL. The position offers full-time employment with on-site benefits across Boone, Burnsville, and Asheville sites.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a driver's medical card (required)
• Trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred)
• Class A Commercial Drivers License (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Works jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair homes in the affected area.
• Works with and leads volunteers. Works with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed, ensuring quality of each project is maintained to the highest possible standard.
• Provides safety training and general project training for team members at the job site. Assures all work is done according to safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned
