Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Lead Sales Associate at our thrift store to support store operations and leadership on busy days. This part-time role focuses on customer service, product sales, and efficient register procedures.

You'll receive paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to develop retail and leadership skills in a mission-driven environment, with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Operations: Support management with product sales and acquisition
• Sales & Operations: Implement store opening and closing procedures
• Sales & Operations: Handle banking and daily deposits
• Sales & Operations: Execute strategies to meet product acquisition, production and sales goals
• Sales & Operations: Manage product rotation process and inventory turnover
• Customer Experience & Store Maintenance: Create an enjoyable shopping experience with positive customer service skills
• Customer Experience & Store Maintenance: Handle customer complaints as needed
• Customer Experience & Store Maintenance: Support store maintenance and appearance
• Customer Experience & Store Maintenance: Maintain displays and floor layout plans
• Customer Experience & Store Maintenance: Identify ways to improve store appeal
• Leadership & Communication: Provide direction to staff in absence of management
