Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a visionary Chief Financial Officer to guide financial strategy, planning, and performance across finance, revenue cycle, and treasury. The CFO will partner with clinical and research leaders to support growth, patient care, and innovation.

This executive role drives financial leadership, controls, and compliance, ensuring sustainable growth and responsible stewardship in a complex healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Progressive healthcare financial leadership at executive level.
• Advanced degree in accounting/finance/business administration or healthcare administration.
• CPA and/or CHFP credentials preferred.
• Deep knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reimbursement and revenue cycle management.
• Experience with payer contracting, managed care strategy, reimbursement optimization.

Responsibilities

• Advise the President & CEO, executive team, and Board on financial strategy and performance.
• Lead development and execution of financial plans for long-term growth and mission.
• Oversee finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Provide leadership for revenue cycle operations and payer relations.
• Drive initiatives to strengthen revenue integrity, improve cash flow, and optimize reimbursement.
• Partner with clinical, operational, and research leaders to align financial strategies with priorities.
• Lead payer contracting and managed care strategies with payers.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, controls, compliance, and audit outcomes.
• Oversee supply chain, procurement strategy, and resource stewardship.
• Mentor leaders across multiple functional areas.
• Use data and analytics to identify opportunities and manage risk.
