Job summary

RESTORE HOPE is seeking a Finance Director to lead financial operations, reporting, and controls for US activities and international programs. The role ensures robust financial controls, timely reporting, and risk management within a nonprofit setting.

The successful candidate will oversee accounting processes, audits, compliance with IRS and ECFA guidelines, and grant/contract management while collaborating with the Chief of Operations to support strategic objectives and global growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years accounting and compliance experience.
• Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Proficient with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s financial transactions: A/P, A/R, Budgets, GL, JE, and Payroll.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, holding others accountable.
• Audit prep, compliance, and liaison to external auditors with knowledge of IRS regulations, ECFA guidelines and international laws.
• Contract/grant drafting, management, and monitoring.
• Perform due diligence of the U.S. and international operations.
• Research public and private data sources for analysis and extraction of relevant information covering a broad range including but not limited to IRS, ECFA, GAAP, FASB and IFRS as well as state solicitation requirements.
• Investigate, recommend, and assist in development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices for new and existing worldwide operations.
• Assist Chief of Operations and perform any other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the team and the organization
