Job summary

Esri, a leading GIS software company, is seeking a Solution Engineer for the Defense team. You will build relationships, demonstrate Esri solutions, and advise customers on complex GIS challenges, aligning technology with mission-driven needs.

Ideal candidates have Defense-space experience, ArcGIS IT context knowledge, and strong communication skills. Roles involve domestic/international travel and a competitive base salary with comprehensive rewards.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
1+ years of experience in supporting the Defense space.
Understanding of ArcGIS in IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud).
Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes.
Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
Applicants must be a US Citizen, undergo a background investigation, and obtain/maintain security clearance eligibility requirements for a Secret, Top Secret (TS), TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with polygraph.
