Job summary

Esri is seeking a Product Engineer – Defense Solutions to design, develop, and support geospatial solutions for defense agencies. You will collaborate with customers and teams to craft industry-specific ArcGIS configurations and ensure high-quality delivery of solutions.

Responsibilities include shaping product design, configuring ArcGIS apps, and drafting briefs. A strong background in GIS workflows and defense industry experience is essential, along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in the defense industry along with experience in applying ArcGIS to support specific industry workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to document and build GIS workflows.
• Creative problem solver and a team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in geography or related field.

Responsibilities

• Discover customer needs and craft geospatial solutions that cater to the defense industry
• Configure ArcGIS apps, tools, and information models for industry-specific uses
• Provide input into product design aspects to assure our products are simple to use and provide a great experience for our customers
• Work closely with customers, software development, business development, and professional services teams to define and develop solutions
• Draft and review ArcGIS Solutions product briefs, presentations, and documentation
• Design and author test cases for functionality, performance, scalability, and durability; execute both manual and automated tests, analyze test results, and report results
• Continually assess product quality, release readiness, and maintain existing ArcGIS Solutions
• Present and evangelize solutions to internal and external audiences
